Bascailly itas what all prewsadients do when sufferig a defeat domestically;take a foreign trip and to change the coverage. Seldom really works very well tho. They alos tend to shift to foeign affirs more.
This is such a bogus story! $200 million a day? For that amount of money I would expect Obama being spoon fed on Air Force One along with Michelle and the kids!
Hey you "Debbie Downers" out there, what do you have to complain about this?
I believe it is a dog and pony show; nothing more. The President has no role in private industry and the industry heads/CEOs didn't need Obama to make their announcements for them. Obama wanted credit so he is along for the ride to raise his ratings. This whole trip reeks of orchistration by the WH and administration. Big ego micro management at its worse.
What is they payoff for the corporations they are getting in return? Did they pledge contributions to Obama or the DNC? Did they pledge alliance to Obamacare for their employees? Why did the taxpayers have to subsidize this trip for those CEOs? What is it that we are not seeing?

And I thought job creation was the number one concern of America. You win the "Debbie Downer" award! Congratulations!

If an Obama "dog and pony show" can result in bringing us 10 billion dollars in exports then let's hold a few more dog and pony shows. And by the way, if you think that government officials play no role in helping corporations sell their goods oversea, then I have a bridge to nowhere to sell you. Look at all the freebies our southern states and the federal government gave foreign automakers to get them to build down there.
The first one covers three years' worth of trips, from 1997 to 2000, as regards "aircraft support".
Didn't look at the second one.
No, I was asking for any reports of any presidential trip costs published before, during or immediately after the trip itself. What you're looking for re Obama's trip now, for earlier presidents. Got any of those?
