This is what I understand: most people are "flexible".

After reading this OP, it's all to clear that people stay away because of the ubiquitous stupidity and rigidity of those on the right. Most times, it's as if you are debating with a person from an isolated region or North Korea where their information sources are limited and regulated. Where fact checking is an alien concept. Really sad.
They don't post anymore because they have probably been banned.

Who are YOU or obama to declare what's good for others? Based on what's actually in the bill and the details that have come out in the last 6 months, it is an unmitigated disaster - let me guess, you haven't heard about ANY of the negative consequences of this bill?

Democrats are not a fringe part of the population. The far left may be but so is the far right. The majority of the country does not agree with the right and there are actually more registered Democrats than Republicans. I have backed this up in another thread. If you doubt it, do the research yourself.

Especially if you count DixieCrats - they are to the right of Republicans.

Backspace after reading through this thread I have come to the realization that our country is scr****.
Thank You for pointing out that the only "true lovers of our country" are now & will forever have to be, Conservative Republicans because They and only They care about America.

You get it??? I really doubt it. If you really got it you would understand that the same war mongers and corporate proxies that got us into this mess are not likely to get us out. Your idol Bush the patron saint of stupidity (that role is now played by Sarah Palin) increased the national debt 72% mostly by funneling trillions of TAX PAYER DOLLARS into the pockets of his military contractor cronies while at the same time cutting taxes. That's the only time that's been done in American history so in effect he hid the true cost of the wars until the next sucker got stuck with it. Imagine if those trillions had been spent OVER HERE building and fixing things instead of OVER THERE killing and destroying things.

Adlai Stevenson said once:

Patriotism is not short, frenzied outbursts of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime.
Calm yourself sindey; be tranquil.

You mean the ones that lied us into 2 wars and cost trillions of tax payer dollars. The ones that sponsored the deregulation orgies that were responsible for the corporate/banking fraud and Ponzi schemes that cost millions of jobs? The ones that opposed every civil rights legislation and every worker rights legislation and every women's rights legislation? What a pack of delusional, sanctimonious, self righteous hypocrites.

According to the Gallup poll and others like Pew, Conservatives trounce liberals in this country.

That's because we do. Democrats (and RINOs) want to let the international rule of law slowly infiltrate into the U.S. destroying our Constitution in the process just so we can be "acceptable" to the Europeans and everyone else. Democrats always want to fashion America into another Europe just so we can earn their respect. That's selling out. That's why no one considers Democrats to be patriotic Americans
