Why do you want to make this a racist issue? The majority of the country and voters are white and that's who elected him. We wanted something a lot better than Bush and instead got this fool who might outdo LBJ as the worst President in history. However, it will be a long time before white America votes for a black President again.

You were doing fine until you said it all in that last sentence
If i were him at this point i would feel betrayed by my supporters who just handed me a 60 seat loss in the house basically saying what i've done isnt good enough, well problems as big as the ones America is in dont get fixed over night, its not like i'm some kind of magician who can wave a wand and everything is ok, it takes a team of hundreds to work together to head in a direction to make things right, i've been at it for just 2 years without any bi partisan help, tried to give you everything you voted me in for, and that aint enough?,i've got 2 more years of this crap then i'll be on easy street as an former President of the USA.
I'll Enjoy sitting on the sidelines watching your Republican saviors attempt to save the country.
I hope he does exactly what they recommend...take himself out of consideration for 2012.
Why?
Because with him gone, the GOP will have nothing. No target. No enemy to point their rabid supporters at. No agenda. By doing that, he would take away their ammunition and force them to reveal their bankrupt ideas, force them to actually govern.
He would be doing his nation and his party a great service to leave the GOP standing there with empty hands.
What are the dems going to run on? Peolsi? Reid? I agree that Obama would be doing everyone a favor if he bows out after 4 yrs, but the dems are the ones who have no agenda. Who will they bring out in 2012 that will bring fresh ideas? Any current (active) democrat will be linked to Obama. Any newcomer will have to fight the establishment, and also try to win over angry citizens.

Obama assumed that all those white voters were liberal. He decided early on that he was going to do things his way regarless of what white america wanted. He didn't realize that he is much more liberal than average americans. The last democrat to win was Bill Clinton, and he had help from a 3rd party (Ross Perot). Take Perot out of the equation, and we could have had a 28 year republican white house

That is such a tragic thing. He's ruined it for any future African American candidates who come along - ones who are qualified and experienced and could be the best. There WILL be "the one" (maybe even a Republican), but there's always going to be a taint over him or her because of the Obama experience. That just isn't right.
They had clear majorities in both Houses and the White House for 6 years and STILL didn't do it.
The Senate filibuster rule where 40 votes can keep a bill from coming to the floor for a vote makes majorities in the Senate pretty much null and void. This one rule is responsible for a lot of the obstruction and inaction that we see in Congress on a variety of issues. Personally, I'd like to see the rule changed so it takes 60 to get a filibuster instead of 40. It's patently undemocratic that a minority in a legislature gets to control which bills get voted on and which ones don't.
