According to polls — Pew Research Center, the National Science Foundation — and studies such as Arthur Brooks’s Gross National Happiness, conservative Americans are happier than liberal Americans.
Liberals respond this way: “If we’re unhappier, it’s because we are more upset than conservatives over the plight of those less fortunate than ourselves.”

Ah..conservatives care about others....but being selfish to one is self preservation of lifestyle to another...and the belief that forcible taking something from one to give to another for the sake of fairness is not always right.....as long as liberals want to give away their money and not mine I am happy...
Liberalism is haunted by the sneaking suspicion that somewhere, somehow, somebody is making their own way in the world by accepting personal responsibility for their own situation, and taking positive action.
