I had read that article earlier with my husband, who is an excellent hunter, and a Marine sharpshooter, as well as IPSC certified. IPSC - "Excellence in Shooting"
Now, who should we believe, some guy that claims to know what he is speaking of on the internet, or a Marine?
Keep digging that hole honey, we'll send the Chileans for you soon.
Who should we believe - an actual confirmed expert in hunting, who just so happens to give Palin a good review, or an anonymous internet poster who happens to hate Palin and now claims her husband is also an expert in hunting?
The choice is clear AND simple.

No, I don't think that. How do we know which rater has the most cred? The Field and Stream guy may be a journalist who likes to hunt for a hobby.
Exactly!
My cousin writes for the same publication, and says the guy is just that.
Anyone that knows anything about hunting knows you sight your weapons in beforehand, thats hunting 101.
Was it the op who said the hunt didn't represent "Real" hunting in Alaska?
It was. And in case you missed it, it didn't represent real hunting in Alaska because most of us don't fly out to hunting grounds to the tune of thousands of dollars just to put food in our freezers.
Exactly!

Wow! First an expert hunter and marksman for a husband AND now a journalist of a cousin that just so happens to work for the same outfit as the expert in hunting that just so happens to like Sarah's hunting technique. How convenient! Did your cousin like you calling so late to ask if he knew the expert? Oh my.
Surely you don't think this is believable...do you?

I suppose another anonymous internet poster can come along and state that the average Alaskan really does charter hunting trips.
Should be a no brainer that we don't.
I imagine that she is not showing her normal life, just like the people on any other reality show. Much of it is staged, much of it is probably an adventure and new experience for her. It should be a no-brainer that any reality show is not actually realistic and they are put into situations that will be provocative for the viewer, not b/c they are just going about their normal lives and that's where they ended up while filming.
