In other words, they want to see everyone's taxes increase on Jan 1.

House Dems reject tax-cut deal - TheHill.com

Quote:
The House Democratic Caucus on Thursday rejected the tax deal negotiated between the White House and Senate Republicans.

The non-binding vote held during a closed meeting of the caucus puts tremendous pressure on House leaders to fight for changes to the proposal, and raises questions about whether the administration's deal will move to the House floor.
Just political posturing? Or has this bunch grown some big ones. Will they REALLY let low/middle income taxes be raised....thousands of dollars?

They are demanding changes of course, but Bite-Me Biden says NO!

http://thehill.com/homenews/house/13...lls-house-dems

Quote:
Vice President Biden told House Democrats on Wednesday that the tax agreement the White House struck with Republicans was essentially final, forcing the divided caucus to decide whether to press its fight for changes in the package.

"It’s up or down," Biden told the caucus in a closed-door meeting, according to Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-N.Y.).
They WILL take the heat if they let the tax RATE extensions expire, if they allow the biggest tax HIKE in history to go forward.

Good.

They don't want to borrow $900 million from China so that the richest 2% can continue to avoid paying their fair economically. It's nice to see that some Dems have a spine. Let the Reps explain why hedge fund managers should pay only 15% of their income in taxes while many other Americans pay at least twice that.

Again, there is no cost to extending the tax RATES...unless you believe that money belongs to the government and is on loan to the taxpayer. Is that what you believe?

Does this shock anyone that democrats wants to raise taxes?

Democrats seem to have a real issue with people being able to keep the money they earned

So, the dems are the party that's "looking out" for the unemployed, huh? Is Ed Schultz still in love with Nancy Pelosi?

It's the Republicans who have been holding up the extension of unemployment benefits. All they have to do is drop their demands of tax breaks for the highest earners and everything will be fine.
