You have no idea how many good old boys really can't handle the truth. It was for the best at the time because without it you'd have witch hunt city messing with esprit de corps. They're still banging heads having to take orders from women for crimminy sake.
She could not have gotten that job done, in fact nobody had gotten that job done, until Obama did. You may sulk about the outcome, but America will be better for it, and if that doesn't make somebody a fighter then I don't know what does.
I think the push-back on Hillary would have been less. Whether it's pure racism, cultural disassociation or what, Obama has certainly brought out the worst in America's lesser half.
Maybe Hillary wouldn't have been fillibustered so completely, and maybe the American public would have 'related' to her more.
She is a skilled governor unlike all the businessmen on the Right who have no interest in such things (beyond tax cuts and deregulation).
I voted for Ron Paul in the primaries.
I really thought Americans would have been fed up with the TARP vote in Oct 2008 to rally for change.
All during the campaign though..Ron Paul was my first choice and Hillary was my second.
Thanks for your response. I wonder who the other Hillary backers voted for though when they say "Don't blame me, I voted for Hillary". Because they could not have voted for her in the general, and I'm assuming many of the Hillary fans ended up begrudgingly backing Obama in the end.
She would have been more hawkish on foreign affairs, too.
I wouldn't have voted for her if she'd won the primary, but I firmly believe that she would have been a MUCH better President than Obama. There would have been no "apology tour," for instance...
More Hawkish??? Obama is still Iraq and Afghanistan mean while he is hitting Pakistan daily. The wars are the main cause of the deficit and yet we need to be more hawkish
