The Apologist Administration was eager to blame US troops first after a slaughter of innocent civilians in Afghanistan.
It was later discovered the civilians were actually slaughtered by the Taliban and that the Taliban reported the incident to the Western press.
What a shock.
It seems what the local press in Iraq/Afghanistan, reports is run as the factual story while the US version is considered propaganda. It's not uncommon and is the enemies m.o. to put civilians in the line of fire to make us look like murders. Alot of people on here have never been in the military so would not understand the on the spot decision making involved. When your under fire you go back to your training and do your damn best not to hit any innocent people, but when they are mixed in with the crowd your goal is to get yourself and your men out alive and in one piece. Sometimes innocents get killed and it sucks, I think this quote from Blackhawk down is a pretty damn good one.

I served 24/7 in a Vietnamese peasant-farming village. Seven months after we left the village, because of Nixon's troop pullout, about 1,500 terrorists destroyed the 2,000 homes and killed and wounded hundreds and hundreds of innocent Vietnamese civilians. There was no military value to the village other than just to punish it and create terror.

Your preaching to the choir, I did a deployment with the Guard to Iraq. When you go down the streets it's women and kids mixed with who knew whats insurgent.

Where would this country be without our military?
They do a hellova job and need to be praised and not condemned.
War is hell afterall, and civilian casualties are part of war.
The problem is, is that some people want everything wrapped up neatly with a bow, and that's not going to happen.
Which of these people declared the war in Iraq lost in 2007 before the Surge even began? which one declared all those Marines to be murderers before a trial was held? (I will give you a hint, he used to be called a retired Marine but isn't considered a Marine by many Marines these days.
You don't deserve a break if you support that bunch.
First a question: What did Clinton say? Can anyone find a direct quote? It doesn't seem like the Secretary of State would place "blame" but would act on the information she recieved.
Second, if US troops accidently killed women and children, is it so wrong to apologize?
