If you want to have an adult conversation about the issues, then here's a question for you.
What gives anyone the right to force heterosexuals to shower with homosexuals if we don't force males and females to shower together?
I'm going to use the argument that comes up so often in regards to gay marriage.
It is equal as it is. Males have the right to shower with other males. Females have the right to shower with other females.

As I have previously mentioned, I am a straight male. I do not find homosexuality repulsive.
Further, I ask you to never presume to speak for me.

You don't get to change the premise of my question to fit your answer.
Let's try again...
Isn't the purpose of sexual harassment law to keep individuals from being subjected to involuntary sexual interactions?
Since homosexuals won't be blindfolded during showers, isn't forcing heterosexuals to shower with homosexuals creating an involuntary sexual interaction?
Always the left that dumps all over everyone else's rights in the name of equality.
momonkey, you have avoided my questions re: sexual harassment and communal showers.
Are you saying that the very *presence* of a homosexual in a communal shower is harassment, regardless of their behavior?
Can you conceive of a scenario in which a male (non-medical), clothed or not, could be present in a female open bay shower without females being feeling violated in such a way that this would not be considered sexual harassment?
Would those same females feel violated if the male present appeared female and did not make his true gender known?
DADT prevented this violation of service member's dignity, but I don't think liberals really care about that. They hate the military and those who serve. What else is new?
That doesn't answer the question. This is about homosexuals in communal showers. Do you feel it is harassment for homosexuals to simply BE there, with no regards to their actual behavior?
I'm not a "liberal", but I support gays in the military. I served. I certainly have nothing but respect for our service members who are currently serving.

If their sexuality were kept on th DL, they would be assumed to be heterosexual and all would be fine.
Once they announce to the world that they are homosexual, heterosexuals will certainly feel forced into a sexual interaction beyond their control. This is at the very least sexual harassment.
What would a male need to do in a female open bay shower besides be there?
Again, ostensibly there are already homosexuals in the showers with straights. Apparently they are currently behaving themselves, as we don't hear of any deluge of harassment complaints.
Why would you expect that to change simply because gays can now be open? Why is it automatically a "sexual interaction"?
I would think a male in the female shower bay would need to say or do something inappropriate in order for it to be considered harassment.
