The corporations seem to be doing quite well under Oilbama. Why ruin that perfectly good government-corporation relationship now?

Lol you bring up a good point my friend.

Obama has done everything to continue and expand upon the Bush agenda:

Warrantless wiretaps
Rendition
Tax Cuts
Afghanistan
Crappy neutered stimulous
Not investigated the Bush administration
Intervened in other countries investigations of the Bush Admin for war crimes.

Obama has done everything Big Business and the wealthy want him to do.

Crappy corporate healthcare reform
Bailed out Wall St saif F-U to Main St
Cut capital gains
Exposed social security to extinction
Lowered the estate tax
Continued wars for the sake of natural resources
Let BP off with a slap on the wrist.

Now with all that said. Big business has rewarded him with FOX NEWS , the tea-party and big business whining that he is stfling their growth. Seems to me the Dow went from 8k back up to 11 or 12k under Obama though the middle class is seeing none of that money. He has done everything THEY want and they still hate him lol. I wonder why ha ha its hilarious, but Big business and corporate media could reward him yet with say a Presidential challenge from Sarah Palin.

Facism isnt just a word most Tea-Partiers cant spell or don't understand lol its now our system of government.

Did anyone seriously expect otherwise? We had Warren Buffet and Oprah for gods sake supporting him.. Buffet's personal wealth has increased 20% since Obama won while everyone else continued to suffer.. Suprised? I'm not.. Did people really think Buffets agenda was to fix america while screwing himself? Silly, silly voters..

That might be fine (except for the part about privatizing essential government services), but it would require the GOP to actually BE right wing.

They are not. They are Neo-Conservatives hiding by the "conservative" lable. A true conservative wishes to reduce government influence in our lives, while a liberal wishes to empower government to "help" us.

A Neo-Conservative, on the other hand, wishes to empower corporations to help themselves at our expense. That's what we've gotten from the GOP since at least the days of Ronald Reagan, and there's no evidence to suggest we'll get anything else this time.

I'm in!
The problem with privatizing government services is that it merely shifts the burden of enforcement of governmental edicts to profit-making corporations and individuals. It does NOT reduce what government is responsible for.

In other words, it does not result in a smaller, less intrusive government (a goal of a true conservative), it just changes who's on what payroll. In the end, government still pays for it all and government is still responsible.

It's a sham, a Potemkin Village which allows the Neo-Conservatives to claim, "Oh, look! We've reduced the size of government!"

It must be done. The current federal government is unsustainable, it has just gotten too dang big.

WHY do we need a a Dept of Education? The states are perfectly capable of handling the education issues and concerns of their respective citizens. Issue a set of simple guidelines to follow and that should be the end of it. We have seen a decades long deterioration of our public education system under the gentle hand of the Dept of Education...how much more of their wisdom can we tolerate?
