I don't find it to be very clever, but that's only me.
Actually I don't mind him going...as long as he is not coming back

What is he supposed to do?? Not go on vacation because some parts of the country are having bad weather? Not go on vacation because everyone cannot afford to take his/her family on vacation?

Step away from the crack pipe.

Here's an idea for you...write your Congressman/Congresswoman and your Senators and ask them to introduce legislation for a Constitutional amendment that prohibits the President from going on vacation when any part of the country has inclement weath. This amendment would also prohibit the President from going on vacation as long as any family in America cannot afford to go on vacation.

Will that work for you??
The problem is that he's on OUR time now, not paying out of his own pocket for his vacations. Taxpayers fund his little excursions, which costs hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars. America is getting royally screwed by this president. So says the $14T debt.

Wait to hear what Limbaugh and the likes will make out of this, and maybe for once they will be right.
I also remember Paul Krugman saying how Obama's trip to Hawaii after the election made him cringe.
One big part of politic is about image, I am sorry that you don't understand it, that you don't feel it.
This being said, try to engage brain before you call me a rigthtie. It just makes me smile though.
Limbaugh went to Hawaii last Christmas, didn't he? In these tough times for everyone, Limbaugh drives a Bentley and vacations first class around the world. He makes his money selling you on the idea that you need to fight for the wealthy like Limbaugh.

Who screwed us the most as far as presidential vacations?

If you don't understand the difference there is between someone who is paying for his own expenses and a public servant, should he be the President, you are completely lost.

I couldn't care less, but listen to the radio for the coming weeks and you will know all about it.

As a politician, you don't show yourself enjoying paradise in a time when so many are in the ditch.
This is so basic, so insensitive, not to say so stupid.

This information should put you at peace.

For security and other reasons, the President, Vice President, and First Lady use military aircraft when they travel.1 The White House generally categorizes the trips as fulfilling either official or political functions. Often, a trip involves both official and political, or unofficial, activities. When a trip is for an official function, the government pays all costs, including per diem (food and lodging), car rentals, and other incidental expenses. When a trip is for political or unofficial purposes, those involved must pay for their own food and lodging and other related expenses, and they must also reimburse the government with the equivalent of the airfare that they would have paid had they used a commercial airline. When a trip involves both official and political activities, a formula determines the amount to be reimbursed for that part of the trip involving political activities. Whether a trip is for official or political purposes, the Air Force pays all operational and other costs incurred by the use of the aircraft.

Ha, Ha~! You may have to wait for those right-wing radios pundits to get back from their luxury vacations before they can tell you all about it.
