I also couldn't vote. You didn't cover many important variables.

Default What is your social and personal stance on abortion?

I'm a man. I would never be faced with this choice. The decision is the woman's. Personally, I think abortion is a nasty business and should be minimized through effective birth control.

I somehow managed to press the wrong choice by accident so mine should actually read : "I am pro-choice and would definitely have an abortion even if I could take care of the baby".

I know that abortion polls have been done across the internet thousands of times and they have probably been done more than once here, but I wonder how thorough those polls were. While it's said that 75% of people are considered to be pro-choice, I wonder how many people would actually have an abortion at this stage of their life.

So I offer this poll for that purpose, to see how many people are pro-life, pro-choice and when and if they would have an abortion or give the child up for adoption.
Why?

Why does it matter to you?

So far the pro-lifers are winning! Go me!
Well, what say you now that you have an actual statistical picture sitting there in front of your eyes? Was there something wrong with the design of your "poll"? You don't seem to have much to say now.

Go TRUTH!

Where's the option for "I'm Pro-Choice, and as a guy I think I should have a say as to whether I'm going to be saddled with 18 years of mommy support or not"?

I pick that one. Luckily I've navigated the minefield, but some of my brethren have not been so lucky.

You have a say...wear a condom or get a vasectomy.

If your friends weren't lucky it's because they depended on luck....learn from them.

The woman has the same option to take birth control pills or use a female condom.

Before sex equal responsibility.

"Want to have sex?" Men and women get to say yes or no

During sex equal responsibility

"I want you to use a condom" "I don't care if you use a condom" "I'm on birth control" All equal between men and women on the choices.

Once the baby is conceived, she gets the only say on whether or not the baby is kept or aborted, he gets no say in that at all.

If he would prefer her to get an abortion, wants nothing to do with the child ever, he is still burdened with 18 years of child support, or more.

Not a fair goal. I'm pro choice, I think a woman should get the choice as its her body. But the man also has to sacrifice his body for 18 years of forced labor for a child he doesn't want. Thats not a fair choice.

Not quite sure why you quoted my post??? I stated a very simple fact(You have a say...wear a condom or get a vasectomy)
in response to:

""and as a guy I think I should have a say as to whether I'm going to be saddled with 18 years of mommy support or not"?""

Thats right, but the woman gets the same choice.

No condom, no sex.

Its a choice both parties involved get to make.

The only part thats uneven is after its conception, then the woman gets all of the say, and the man none. I'm agreeing with the poster you quoted.
