Best thing for this memorial service is to leave the services to the victims families. They need time to grieve. O and the Washington elites will just make a damned circus of it.
That happened..

Oh yeah, I can really do that can't I?

Sorry, I just don't see that.

Just saw a short comment read from him on the news. He talked about holding her hand as he saw her eyes flutter. This was while everyone was in the room talking about what they'd do when she got back to work.

When he saw her eyes flutter, he grabbed her hand and said "Gabby please let me know that you can see me" she gave two thumbs up right after.

I have been extremely disappointed in Obama as President. I have been asking myself "What in the world persuaded me to vote for this unqualified person for President?" Now I remember. It was lack of a better choice; and speeches like the one he gave last night. He's still unqualified and has been sadly ineffective as President - but he still can give a moving and inspirational speech. I thought it was excellent.

And you are surprised that she would want to defend herself???? My god, what is wrong with you? You unjustly blame her for mass murder, then condemn her for objecting and speaking out in her own defense.

You're nuts. Nuts.
First off, few if any people say Palin is directly responsible, they were saying the hate speech does not help the nation and is dividing us further. It wasn't that she gave a speech, it was the timing, some would call it grandstanding on the wrong day. I just wish the entertainer could have sat down and shut up for one evening while the real leader of this nation brought dignity to the service for the real victims of the tragic event.

The president was pitch-perfect at Arizona service, but audience members were a rabble - NYPOST.com

Worst of all, there was the crowd, which bubbled over with excitement and enthusiasm. The tone of the event came to resemble a pep rally, no matter the monstrous fact of the six dead and the many injured.

Even Obama's lovely peroration about little Christina Green -- "I want us to live up to her expectations. I want our democracy to be as good as she imagined it" -- was greeted by the listeners as though they were delegates at a political convention, rather than attendees at a memorial service.
Yep, pep rally.

Default Obama

Ok as many of you know I am NO Obama supporter but I have to give credit when it is due. I was proud and happy to hear him say that "no one knows what caused the shootings in AZ". Bravo Mr. President, bravo.

Well let me ask...what did you expect him to say? That the Republicans and the right wing were directly responsible for the shooting and now we must all hate them?

LMAO...the prez is getting a lot of props for making the speech that anyone with sense knew he'd make anyway. I don't know what people expected.
