From an out of country perspective it seems like no one likes this effort from Obama to give every one affordable health care,i presume it has some flaws but for 40 million uninsured Americans isnt it better than nothing?.
And for the people who do think this healthcare package is better than what they have now where are the protests against those who are about to repeal that healthcare package?Where are the pro Obamacare advocates?
Does no one think Obamacare is worth fighting to keep?
Seems from my Canadian perspective that this effort at healthcare for every one is just going to be voted out of existence and no one cares

Forcing poor people to buy health insurance that can't afford it isn't a good solution.

I don't know of anyone who is against it. It's just plain wrong to let US citizens go without medical insurance. I don't think anyone can repeal it, that's just for show.

I'm not sure it was really needed. Who doesn't have insurance? Was there really 40 million uninsured? Of those without insurance--it isn't the children. Most states cover kids already.

After that question...I wonder if this debacle that was passed is really the best way to go around it--I think a safety net really is needed for the few that genuinely are in trouble and really need help...but why would you mess with an already great system to provide for maybe 10% of the population? There are better ways.

Creating more bureaucracy doesn't seem to be the way to make the system more efficient.

Agreed. Arguing with a friend at lunch today over it, he was genuinely shocked to hear that there is already a lot of Medicare fraud going on. He's from Europe and thinks we should just expand Medicare.

There are numerous reasons why this law should never have been legislated. One of the overlooked reasons is that it's a FREAKING 1000+ pages long bill... how do you mean bureaucracy?! Even if it were morally permissible to legislate this law... More than 1000 pages is a manual. Not a law. You need to be mental to expect better and/or cheaper health care with so much bureaucratic inflexibility. Imagine the constitution would have looked like that.

And this is not the most important reason by a long shot to get rid of it.

ObamaCare is the foot in the door to a universal health care system.
I'm against UHC from the ideological and practical stand points hence I'm against ObamaCare.

why does obama have to keep campaigning for it? It seems every time I turn around he's trying to convince us it's a good thing. You and I both know it was a hugely partisan bill. Even many of the dems that did vote for it caught a huge backlash from their constituents.
