All I can say is I have had Cox at my home now since 1993, and have had all 3 services since the early 2000's. I have been extremely happy, and in fact as for internet speeds were rated the fastest internet provider in the south by pc magazine.

Don't know how Comcast rolls, but I am very happy with what I have.

Someone has to pay for the buyouts. Comcast really does not want to deliver cable to rural areas. They don't make very much money off of the rural areas because they have to run so much cable for few homes. They usually only do it because the city charter that they sign requires that they do.

FYI. We are talking about Comcast not COx.

COMCAST customer if you think you've got it bad, thank GOD ALMIGHTY you don;t live in New York (specifically Long Island) . COMCAST doesn't hold a candle to Cablevision when it comes to negligent cable service.

You can get channel Golf on satellite...Comcast sucks
I've had satellite TV since 1997 with PrimeStar and then subsequently DirecTV. Never had disappointing service. Satellite's come a long way from 1996 when the slightest thunderstorm would affect signal quality but now only a severe thunderstorm disrupts my service and we don't get those everyday so not having TV for a couple hours every once in a while more than makes up for the gouging prices Comcast has

You want to send them the message...boycott Comcast. Stop using their cable or internet. If only 10% did that, they would have him back on TV very quickly. I don't use Comcast, but they do own the golfchannel, which I used to watch. No more. Just my symbolic gesture.
Olberman got himself fired by acting as he has on his show! His ratings were probably really low too!

Someone else will simply fill in the gap, hopefully someone who wasn't just a sports caster.

Glenn Beck, Keith Olbermann were simply opposite sides of the same coin. Former sportscasters who turned into political talking heads. Neither one of them knows anything about politics, and both made wild assumptions about minor details.
Beck and Olbermann .......obviously you didn't watch Olberman. Totally disagree with you on that point. Please don't insult liberals that way.

I've been reading some "lawyer stuff" on other sites......as for Olbermann leaving PRIOR TO THE ENDING OF HIS CONTRACT, MSNBC/Comcast clearly had to PAY OLBERMANN bigtime in order for him to do so.. Most probably far more than the cost of his contract for the next two years, which was $14 million. From what I've read, companies who want to get rid of people who have contracts for employment like Olbermann, the only way they can do it is through negotiations and paying off the person so they will agree to end the contract. Don't think Olbermann didn't have good lawyers looking out for his best interest. Also, clearly Olbermann must have agreed to some restrictions which MSNBC wanted, but they didn't get those things without BIG MONEY.

It could not be more obvious that Olbermann's "ratings" had absolutely nothing to do with the MSNBC/Comcast decision to PAY HIM in order to end his contract. If they had just "fired him" without "cause" he could have sued them into infinity. Clearly they didn't have "cause" to fire him or they would have done that.

Olbermann is certainly not have a "typical" experience that ordinary folks would have of being "fired."

Comcast had nothing to do with it.
They don't own MSNBC... yet.

Sounds like an awesome opportunity for a business decision.

Why not start a business to compete with Comcast? '
