LOL, the Bush administration really was squeaky clean. Can you imagine the howls if there had been any real wrong doing? (Please spare me the Plame affair, it was a game of gotcha, Fitzgerald continued the investigation after he knew who leaked (Armitage).)

Jeeze, half the Obama administration didn't pay taxes until they were nominated for cabinet positions.

I didn't like Bush. That said I'm at a loss as to how anything in the OP is of any significance or in any way offers redemption to the current administration.

Personally I believe both parties argue back and forth in an attempt to convince people there is a meaningful difference between them and that one or the other more accurately represents their beliefs. The reality is neither care about anything other than further empowering themselves and government.

As long as they can keep us arguing back and forth amongst ourselves they have more freedom to pursue their own agendas, few if any of which are in our interest.

The mindless partisan hackery displayed in the OP is proof their tactics are working.

The argument that "both parties do it" brings to mind that old tactic used by mothers everywhere: "If your friend jumped off a bridge, would you do it too?"

As long as we the voters (you know, the people politicians work for?) accept that "everyone does it", everyone will continue to do it.

no different than from what obama's admin did just a few months ago

from your 5th link:
WASHINGTON - In the run-up to the 2006 midterm election in which Republicans lost control of the House, the Bush administration repeatedly broke the law by using federal funds to send Cabinet secretaries and other high-level political appointees to congressional districts of GOP candidates in tight races, according to a government report

so this is what they are complaining about????

well

White House Defends Campaign Efforts - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

White House Defends Campaign Efforts

The memo, first reported by Politico and obtained by CBS News, lays out in great detail all the campaign events that the president, Vice President Joe Biden, first lady Michelle Obama, Cabinet members and senior staffers have attended. It states that they have "participated in 187 political events in the last 18 months, all with the intention of directly supporting candidates on the ballot in 2010 or building up the infrastructure of party committees."

The document shows that Mr. Obama participated in 14 events for the Democratic National Committee, four for the House and Senate campaign committees, 10 for Senate candidates and just four events for House members that benefited a total of nine candidates.

One House Democratic aide praised Biden Wednesday for all his efforts to campaign for House candidates, and the memo shows that he's attended 29 events that helped 36 House Democrats.

The document also shows that Cabinet members have been especially active in House campaigns, attending 30 campaign events.

I guess then obama broke the same law..too
