Reading through this I'm astonished, tea party types who seem to rant often, support the troops, believe that this woman's plan would be supporting the troops.
Do wounded veterans in the USA get too much care and money that they have not earned in the eyes of some conservatives ?

Different though, if one of our right wing or left MPs wanted to cur government spending by chopping wounded vets payments, they would be resigning from parliament the next day.

I would like to think that Bachmann's proposal will be unsuccessful. Cutting health care & disability compensation for vets is not a good move. But if such a thing were to go through I would personally enjoy seeing service members support of Bachmann, Palin and all of their ilk PLUMMET. With such a proposal, they will lose more of their base and only invite more animosity.

Cutting disability compensation for citizens who have served the country for x # of years and perhaps even suffer critical conditions- not a good idea.

No, she is not a liberal? Don't you know anything about Bachmann????

I live in the military complex. You would, I suppose, be surprised by how many liberals or simply "neutrals" exist within the military. It is a terrible misconception to assume that liberals are anti-military. Really, quite ignorant. I also thought this was the case for awhile, but then started seeing, it is not, not at all.

It's a $4.5b cut from a $125b total, 3.6%. The proposed cuts aren't directed at wounded combat vets in particular but it mainly seems like they would be an effort to reign in rising expenditure.

Listen, I'm not a Bachman fan but your post was dishonest to a certain degree.

No liberals do not dislike vets.

The idiots who send them around the world to fight needless, useless wars of choice?

Now that's a different story!

LOL..this is laughable on it's face.

Don't know about now (since the last election), but there were more lib vets in our congress for years than conservative ones. I'm a liberal vet myself, and i don't know where in the hell you get that nonsense from.

No, Bachmann isn't a liberal. She sounds THOROUGHLY conservative thru and thru.

Sadly enough the bolded portion is not an issue in which blame can honestly be attributed to either party. Both have more than their fair share of guilt in the matter.
