Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that an angry mob is attacking the people in the car. What else would you expect? Without being there, we can't know exactly what was going on, but from here, it looks like Darwinism in action.

Darwinism is about survival of the fittest, unless you're hoping that Mubarak and his governance survive. After all, Mubarak is also winning his war against the press (Al Jazeera and BBC equipments have been seized and NY Times journalists have been arrested). Darwinism may be at work, but it just may not be how you envision it.
The lone person standing against the Red Army tanks at Tiananmen Square was a pretty strong scene, wasn't it?
People had moved out of the way then the car changed lanes . I would have been one of the 79.5 million not in the street , so I guess I see your point .

Oh I didnt see that part. Now it looks deliberate. No signal, either.

We don't know if the particular people in that car had anything to do with Mubarak's government or not. We also don't know if the people on the ground were pro or anti Mubarak. All I see is a mob attacking people in a car, and the people in the car standing on the gas, to the detriment of the mob.

They are the anti-mubarak protestors becase this was on the 28th of January, plus most of the cars that pass through these protestors were mostly police cars, and the protestors took their anger out on the police the most because they were the most brutal and feared force in the country.
Why did driver change lanes? There was a clear path he/she could of got through, seems intentional.
