Why would anyone want to associate themselves with the Tea Party, let alone a fake Tea Party?

I'm not condoning what they did. I just see no personal need to be associated with the Tea Party.
To be fair, every party tries to cheat. Some just get caught.
What else is new. Democrats can't win on merit so they cheat.
We know they are always accusing republicans and conservatives of doing such abhorrent and despicable things, when they are the only ones who are doing it. I guess they think that since they do it, the other side must be doing it too, only they are wrong.
Conservatives and republican individuals or organizations:
Do not support ACORN which assists pimps to who want 13 year old El Salvadorian girls to work as prostitutes.
Do not engineer fake callers on their talk shows with political party operatives pretending to be random callers, nor do they have other callers receive coaching from US senators.
Do not forge federal government documents to smear a presidential candidate.
Did not run campaign ads attacking 0bama for his race, physical appearance or his ethnic heritage.
And they do not commit fraud and impersonate democratic party organizations in order to make democrats look bad to try and win elections.
