Article from Reuters about the Govenor of Wisconsin threatening layoffs.
Protesters rally in Wisconsin after governor threatens layoffs | Reuters

The rich are trying to gain more power. They've already had major tax breaks over the past ten years. CEO's are walking away with huge golden
parachutes while they take their employees' pensions, and lay them off.
They run Fox News and have paid off Limbaugh, Beck, Coulter, etc. , to spread their propaganda. They won't stop till the unions are gone and the workers have no rights. The Republican Party has clearly aligned themselves with the wealthy. They won't stop till Medicare/Medicade and Social Security are gone. There are more of us than them and if we stand together we can beat them. That is the ONLY way the rest of us have a chance.

It just defies logic that there are workers who vote people in office who have absolutely NO regard for them. These politicians are in office to make big business even bigger by stuffing the pockets of these companies with $$ from government, either by tax breaks or corporate welfare. Perfect example is that the great majority of hospitals were not-for-profit until the Medicare act was passed. Corporations were formed to make profits from the very government these people profess to despise.

Are there still so many people who believe every word from Rush Limbaugh and clones that they actually believe republicans care whether workers here have any rights, whatsoever. Or any individuals, for that matter. That those propagandists are still turning people against their own interests is beyond logic. You would think after George W. Bush they would have learned something about being duped.

I had the unfortunate experience of spending 7 years in the legal system while the state DOI and judicial system turned the other way and allowed a licensed insurance agent to churn several seniors (that we were aware and I'm betting there were many more) out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. The purpose of turning their backs wasn't to protect the agent, but the corporations who allowed this behavior to happen.

Turn their backs they did, despite much, clear, documented evidence of the actions. And that agent is still licensed today and I wouldn't doubt for one minute still doing the same to other unsuspecting seniors.

The republican party, and some democrats, have one goal in mind..protecting profits of big business at any expense. Unions have had their problems, but their interests lie with the workers. Unions gave this country a middle class. Now, it seems that some of these new republican governors don't seem to care if the middle class is greatly diminished. It seems clear enough that they don't care that the private sector has not increased their workers' pay to match their profits. So instead of fighting for private sector workers' pay and benefits to rise incrementally, they want to decrease public employees to that level.

It's a very sad state for this country when there are people who are so duped they call their neighbors thugs and slobs for wanting to protect their pay and benefits and, knowingly, vote people into office who will fight for the decline of the individual American citizen.

Paranoid much!

Payed off Limbaugh, Beck lol!

Serioiusly though I believe you have it backwards as the UNIONS are trying to gain more power.
This post does sound like a perfect example of the distrust, fear, and suspicion that is a halmark of far left-thnk.

Unions; the voice of the mediocre and dull.

Welcome aboard. Your comments are well written and describe the actual situation. Our Government is of the Rich, by the rich and for the rich. The only place for anyone that needs to work for a living is working harder for less pay and bennies so the wealth collected by the rich managers and investors continues to grow. This is the only wealth redistribution allowable. Taken from little people and transferred to big business. The rest of us do not count to these manipulative bastards. Even robbing the elderly is acceptable so long as the wealth is taken from the many and concentrated into the hands of the few.

Wow there really are some angry, bitter, and delusional people.
People really believe that unions are the answer? So 1950's. So blue collar.
When does personal responsibility become a reality for some people?

That is why they hate people like Rush Limbaugh because he is all about this. They hate the truth.
Too bad they are so mislead by the left-wing media.

Unions: The voice of the mediocre and dull.

LOL, let's defend the union's right to force their over priced health benefits, from a company they own, on the tax payer! Makes sense to me!

Default The rich have overplayed their hand

No they haven't. They own America and the GOP is their lapdog. They'll get just about anything they want, short of outright indentured servitude and the masses will angrily, willingly go along with it. They want to end all programs favorable to the public, and they're gathering wide-based support among the know-nothings.

America is becoming the kind of oligarchy we rebelled against 235 years ago. But today there's no spine for opposing the "nobility."
