I've never heard the argument connecting earthquakes to climate change, but here's at least the explanation of why some scientists postulate a link between them:

http://environment.about.com/od/glob...arthquakes.htm

The core problem with the article in the OP is the person interviewed reveals himself to be very ignorant. He claims the name has changed from global warming to climate change, which is simply not true. If he were actually a scientist, which he admits he is not, he would know that it's been called climate change in scientific discourse since the 1970s . That "name change" argument seems to be a persistent myth in far right political propaganda that simply isn't true.

There appears to be a lot of ignorance going around lately, particularly from the left.

Our education system is really broken isn't it ?

Or perhaps meeting the goals that have been set for it.

I don't understand what that video has to do with this topic or why you claim him to be ignorant. Because he mentioned global warming once as part of a larger concern about the impacts of a military installation on the environment? Seems reasonable.

I, personally, attempt to avoid the ignorance of the far political left who try to politicize climate change for power and I also attempt to avoid all the ignorance from the far political right who just reject out-of-hand science in favor of their pre-conceived beliefs / ideologies.

Instead, I focus on the science across a wide array of disciplines that demonstrate the world is warming and are attempting to figure out why. As a patriot, I adhere to the Marine code of taking action on 70% knowledge rather than waiting until it's tool late at 100%.

If it had been Saturday Night Live, THEN it would have been funny. The fact that this was a US House Representative is truly pathetic.
