I completely understand that it is a constitutional right for every American citizen to vote, with notable exceptions.

That being said, is it time for a constitutional amendment taking that right away from people who have no skin in the game?

Give the vote bake to felons. Let everyone vote. The people that have had their livelihood taken away from them it isn't their fault, Everyone should vote and be proud of it.

All laws are political.

Felons should be allowed to vote.

Everybody of age should be allowed to vote.

If lowlifes can run for office, it only makes sense that lowlifes should get to vote.

Where I came from we allowed dead people to vote. They did just fine!

Both parties would lose a big amount of voters, but I think we'd have a more stable and fiscally responsible government. I'm against welfare in all forms. Including Medicare, Social Security, welfare, farm subsidies, state subsidies, etc. If it's a handout, it's a no-no in my book, and the federal government is overstepping it's Constitutional bounds. States, however, can do as they please in terms of government social programs.

Federal social programs only grow the underclass of society. Every year, more and more poor people enter the ranks, mostly from illegal immigration, offspring of illegal immigration, refugees, and poor legal immigrants who sponsor relatives.

Define recipient class.

I'm guessing that you mean welfare recipients.

I'm also guessing that under Constitutional Law, it wouldn't be possible to pass such an amendment without also including others who are paid with tax dollars.

There goes the republican vote,...

Otherwise I think more realistically there should be a test on basic constitutional laws and political history to obtain a voter's card.
