I will eventually become one, but they will not let me take the test just yet.

In this agency there are some people I talk to that are green card holders because we do not deal with matter of security or intelligence.

Are you suggesting that there are no, nada, zero, zip native-born Americans employed in the U.S. today?

Seriously?

They are taking the jobs, because they are willing to work. Why else do you think they are working and others aren't.

You have to WANT the job, and be WILLING to put in the effort. Many people don't want to put forth effort, they want everything handed to them on a silver platter.

They have to change a lot of laws to do that.

Because as far as I know.... you can not ask the person's immigration status when hiring them. That said, if you know any unemployed born americans suggest them to go into business/contract/government law.

There are a lot of jobs in that field. If they are clearable they can make A LOT of $$$

Why compete in your own country with the world?

How many countries compete with foreigners for their own home grown jobs?

I think H and L visas need to very very restricted and limited to only about 500-1000 maximum per year , and start restricting family-based immigration from developing nations to a few hundred every other year total.

You had me up until the liberal kool-aid part. I know many more "liberals" with advanced degrees that contribute to the scientific community and medical sciences then many of my conservative friends back home working at assembly line type positions (apparently assembly line work is popular in Alabama) or retail position that go home and watch American idol. It's sad when people think that other American citizens that don't agree with them ideologically are lazy and stupid.

Xenophobia is an insidious condition, isn't it? I hope some pharmaceutical company is hard at work on a cure.
