I just realized that today (April 22) was earth day. What are you doing to celebrate the event?

I figured I'd go home and fire up the chain saw. I have some timber I need to drop anyway, this seems like a better time then most. Afterwards, I'll fire up the dirt bike and put some miles on in the woods.

Yeah, it's mindless symbolism...but that pretty much sums up earth day in the first place.

We will abandon a 400 foot 2" water well to code.

This will protect the aquifer.

I need to drop off the harmonic ballancer and flexplate for the 454 from my tow truck at the machine shop so they can ballance the rotating assembly...

While they work on the short block, I need to do a pocket port job on the heads and work on the intake a little....

Might as well put in some new motor mounts while Im at it....

Or I could sit here and procrastinate on CD, the weather kinda sucks, cold and rainy

Don't forget to fire a few rounds into the ground for good measure.

I'm working today. But here's my video tribute to liberals who celebrate Earth Day.

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Thats a thought, but I need to spend some time at the loading bench first, I'm pretty much out of ammo.

Probably will have a bonfire tonight though. It's the first nearly nice day we've had in a while, I want to make the most of it.

I don't even like nature, but for egoistic reasons we should preserve it

Tonight I will dump my old bucket of car oil down in the nearby river with a bunch of styrofoam containers.
