She's one smart fortune cookie - she might qualify for their pension plan now that she is a permanent employee.

She should sue. After all, she's just reacting to what she sees on the news. Those 3 races more than likely do commit more crimes.
She's just calling a spade a spade, and this PC environment we all have to live in gasped...cd included.

She won't get far as it is a constitutional requirement in the U.S. Constitution. Really the only requirement to being a U.S. citizen. If a Judge wants to keep her on Juror Duty status, he can and there really isn't much she can do about it. I believe for the current standard you can be on call for a month or more, and he can just call her in every day if he chooses.

You can be on Jury Duty and be called in every day yet never actually be on an actual Jury deciding a verdict.

So the judge got mad at an honest answer. Excellent.

Asian people are often very frank and up-front with their answers to questions like these.

I agree about not wanting to be part of a mob trial. Holy cannoli!

Apparently she adapted the Homer Simpson tactic to avoiding jury duty, and the judge was hip to the cultural reference.

Asked to name three people she least admired, the woman wrote on her questionnaire: "African-Americans, Hispanics and Haitians."

When Garaufis asked why she answered the question that way, the woman replied, "You always hear about them in the news doing something."
Nothing to see there. The comments are certainly not "racist." Perhaps they indicate prejudice or bias, but I guess if they didn't use a knee-jerk inflammatory word out of context, like "racist" then no one would pay attention.

No, wrong answer. That is what happens when the Great White Christian Nationâ„¢ and Champion of Freedom & Democracyâ„¢ murders the president of Somalia in cold blood because he won't sign off on an oil deal that will bankrupt his country while simultaneously enriching the Great White Christian Nationâ„¢.

Then Great White Christian Nationâ„¢ installed US Export Democracy Africa! Version 6.21* with the Tyrannical Dictator module and Corrupt Military plug-in.

How'd that work out for everyone?

*US-written Constitution not included. Death Squad drivers not available for this area. US military equipment sold separately. See US State Department for details. If insurgency or terrorist activity persists consult with foreign intelligence agencies. Void where prohibited.

Not lacking responsibility....

And you're allowed to vote? That is scary.

There is no "constitutional requirement" for jury duty.

And it constitutes "cruel or unusual punishment."

Constitutionally...

Can you reference the amendment, clause, paragraph or sentence in the Constitution that mandates jury service, please. I don't recall it and cannot find it.
