Constantly raising it to meet spending equates to no ceiling at all.
They should just raise it to infinity and be done with it and never have to worry about any more "shutdown" cries.
I think that the Cowboy Poetry Festival is under funded. I don't care how much we have to borrow from the Chinese - as long as Cowboys get to prance poetically in Nevada.
So our elected officials can play politics with it. Yes it would be more efficient to just automatically raise it, but that would cut out the grandstanding the attention-loving members of Congress do every year or so.
If it's going to be increased on a consistent basis, why bother? Discuss.
So we can ignore it......
