It says 65% of gays without HIV have HPV. And 95% of gays with HIV have HPV.
So you read, you have a cat and you work. I don't think that that's the part of your lifestyle that this statistic is talking about.
The stat was that 65% of HIV-free gays have HPV in or around the anus - not HPV in general. So bascially 65% of gay men have sexually transmitted HPV (the rate of gays with any HPV strain is much higher). Lets compare this to, oh, American women. The AMA and CDC estimate that 80% of women age 50+ have or have had sexually transmitted HPV.
Overall, it's estimated that about 90% of Americans have or will have some form of HPV in their lifetime. Ever had a wart? If so, you have HPV. I must have gotten HPV at around 8 years old.
Again, 65% of gays without HIV have sexually transmitted HPV - not HPV in general (it's much higher).
80% of women American women have sexually transmitted HPV.
Why not rant against the unhealthy female lifestyle in regard to sexually transmitted HPV?
Change that to unhealthy heterosexual lifestyle in general rather than female lifestyle... cuz you know that the HPV has to come from somewhere and it's got to be men.
But yes it is true. Almost all women have been subjected to HPV infection at one point or another, via men. Hence the high rate of cervical cancer and need for PAP smears. All the article proves is that gay men might benefit from anal PAPs.

Here's another stat for the OP to use as the basis for a rant.
40 percent of penile cancers are caused by HPV. Hispanic men have the highest rates of HPV caused penile cancer.
Perhaps a rant against the unhealthy "heterosexual Hispanic male lifestyle" is in order.
