Banks owe a $3.6 trillion dollar wall of maturing debt in the next 2 years. this has to be serviced.

On top of that, I'm pretty sure about 4 trillion of principal payments from the treasury is due in the next few years too. Funny that we have to issue debt, to pay off our debt.
