He is doing nothing to keep prices down. He doesn't want them to go down, he wants to break the back of America so he can redesign it to suit his socialist ideas. The man is corrupt and dangerous. We must remove him in '12...
He could make the price of gas drop dramatically tomorrow if he would announce we are going to drill everywhere we can place a drill. Prices would drop over night..! He has told the oil producing nations we won't drill and will continue to buy oil from them, so they can make the rules, knowing they are dealing with a cowardly, incompetent, child. The whole world is laughing at him... and us

We would need to drill AND place regulations on oil speculation. Require those trading oil to take delivery of it. This was how it was prior to 2001. Joe Schmoe down the street should not be able to buy oil futures like he could by Google. Drilling could help the supply issue, and regulations could deal with Wall St speculation. We would have $40 oil in no time. Obama refuses to do either.

There is no urgency in him to fix any of our problems have you noticed this. His only urgency is to look good for facebook readers, future voters, being the most popular President, and being on tv every day. No urgency on his part to want lower gas prices, as well as, a better economy, as well as a better housing market, and a better overhaul America.

There should be an option:

"Is his agenda to drive up fuel prices to sell more green energy?"

No.

If that was the case then we wouldn't be seeing the insane prices we're seeing in gas stations.

No, you're wrong. What is driving up the price of oil, and everything else, is our monetary policy. Sure drilling may help SOME, but the real problem is inflation. So no, he is not doing anything to help, because he is supporting the same old system where the Federal Reserve can manipulate the money supply. When compared to gold, the price of oil (and everything else) has actually remained flat. So, to summarize, when compared with something that has actual value, oil hasn't increased much. When bought with worthless pieces of paper, it has increased a ton. Drilling wouldn't do much, because our money is still worthless. We have a bunch of hot shots determining what our money is worth by injecting fake dollars into our economy. Then, when that doesn't work, the solution is to insert another round of monopoly money.

What can he do? Seriously, what can he do to bring gas prices down tomorrow? Next week? Next month?
