My short form only includes my name, date of birth, sex, and the place of my birth and certifies that this information was abstracted from my original birth record on file. This short form was issued to me by the State of California in the year 1981.
Does it show a "Date filed" or anything along those lines?
To question government released documents is not bigoted; actually, it is the duty of the press. Because the press has failed in its function the people must question instead.
The constant playing of the race card is bigoted. Projection at its most obvious.
It never ceases to amaze me the amount of times I see bigot, racist, etc. thrown around on this board. All birthers are racist apparently, and while I'm sure there is a large population that is in fact upset that a black man (who is also half white BTW) is president and that fact alone is their motive, I would hope to think that to most normal people it is because of his poor performance. They would love an excuse to get him out of the white house. I do think however that if he came in kicking a** and taking names as president, the birther thing would be a non issue. I'm not convinced either way, and really I could care less either way. Even if it came out tomorrow that he is in fact ineligible, it's too late anyway. Whether he was born here or not is irrelevant to his performance as president, which is my main concern. This country is in poor shape and we need a true leader to unite the people for the good of the country and quit with all the partisan division crap, and I don't believe that person to be Obama. Problem is I can't see anyone from either party doing that at this point, and anyone who isn't Dem or Rep has a slim to none chance of winning the presidential election. I think were just screwed.
Respectfully disagree with you.
The document is real.
Plenty of facts to support the truth of the matter.
I am sure you have done your homework on this subject
but if you disagree you disagree
there is nothing anyone can do about the allegations
but in my way of thinking and from what i have read and gathered its real
not sure about this layer conspiracy thats a new one to me
The WH techinical group made the BC. They are hacks and it shows. OOPS!!!! Forgot to flatten the damn image!!
The image can be "flattened" all you want.
It's still going to break down into multiple elements in Adobe Illustrator.
The PDF has a single layer. All these other artifacts are created by Adobe Illustrator when the file is opened within it. From a document creation perspective, they make about as much sense as a nursery rhyme.
What we have here is a bunch of software users who are clueless about software design.
For those who do not understand the issue ... an actual and legitimate scanned image of the Birth Certificate would be a single layer image. The only way to create multiple layers is to use software to create those additional layers. A manipulated document ... adding and changing data would be done in layers in an imaging software program like Adobe photoshop. After completion of the data manipulation, the document can be saved, maintaining those layers for further editing ... or saved as a single layer (flat file) which is what any idiot would obviously do when creating a phony document ... except the idiot that manipulated this one.
So, the existence of the layers is PROOF POSITIVE of a forgery. The only question remaining is how could someone be so insanely incompetent as to forge a document and release it as a file containing the layers which show each and every one of the manipulations? It's mind boggling.
So is this an example of total incompetence or is it a purposeful release of an easily provable fake document to divert attention away from other matters ongoing?
What isn't questionable is the fact that it is absolutely a forgery. And anyone who cannot grasp this basic fact needs to keep their mouths shut because they don't possess the IQ of a fern.

I completely agree with you here. Something is definitely wrong here. I can't decide if it was just ineptness or it was on purpose. Supposedly the file on the WH web site has been updated and it no longer has the layers. I did some searching on the net and found another guy who opened up the document in question with a HEX editor and it was marked in there that the file was saved with Adobe Photoshop in 2008. He DL'd the new posting at the WH site and opened it in the same HEX editor and that bit of information was now gone. I really want someone to try and explain this layer thing, Media Matters tried to say that it is normal for there to be layers in the doc when you scan to PDF. I know that to be BS since I scan to PDF all the time.
Does it show a "Date filed" or anything along those lines?
Yes, it says "Date Filed by Registrar" and lists a date for in February 1963.
Okay, I have pulled this record from my files THREE times already! I had it easily to hand because since yesterday I have been cleaning out my very large metal cabinet and I would now like to put everything BACK!
