Yep, Jeffington is going to keep ignoring my question to him about where he read a section regarding natural born citizenship in the Duncan v. Louisiana decision, specifically in the concurring opinion he cited.

Full faith and credit, baby.

Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.
They can hold elections any way they want with some discretion. They cannot define for themselves what a natural-born citizen is, because the only reason to do so would be to prohibit a Presidential candidate (a federal office). They have no state interest in that definition, it is strictly of interest on the federal level.

You are really thrashing around, here.

I'll try again to help you out, but you must want to be helped first.

This is a quote, verbatim, from the USC (that would be the US Constitution).

As a matter of fact, elections are a fairly recent method of chosing electors.

Notice the "in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct" part. Says nothing about mandating election.

Any state can set up any rules they want - have the governmore pick them as he sees fit, set up a committee, any way they want and they can pick anyone they want, period. That fact that they have all chosen elections does not, in any way, bar their hand in changing the method at any time.

That deals with weddings, driver's licenses etc. Find where it says on the HI Certificate that there was a finding of "Natural Born Citizen" in fulfillment of such requirment for the office of President. They made no finding, just recorded a birth.

It was on one of the web sites that deal with this topic. You should do your homework.

You know who is pissed about Obama releasing the long form? That guy who announced a week before that he had a book coming out in May that was going to "explain" the case against Obama and the birth certificate. I hope too many people didnt pre-order or were able to cancel.
