Agreed. Who bears the brunt of higher gas and electric bills, the poor. I know, I have lived earning below $30k a year for most of my life, and those high gasoline prices really hurt.

If you had not figured it out yet, the Obama/globalist agenda is to destroy the middle class so that only the very poor and the uberrich (of the multi-Billionare variety not the $250K/yr) remain. Globalists cannot control self-sufficient middle classers, thus, they must be inflated and outsourced out of existence.

So, as long as you buy into the "tax the rich" and class warfare that includes the firmly middle and upper middle class (not as defined by Obama but as defined on the Forbes top 500) you are playing a hand in your own (thus our own) destruction.

I wonder why this is such a difficult concept for so many people. Does anyone really think the most powerful men of the most power-hungry species of animal this planet has ever seen would willingly relinquish power every 4 years? How can anyone see how Obama acts compared to how Bushed acted and not see the same master is just pulling the strings of a different puppet? ...

It's quite enlightening reading posts from conservatives complain about the price of a commodity entirely controlled by private companies and further complain that President Obama should intervene and cause it to be lower.

There are plenty of permits out there that oil cos have a right to drill. They don't because they don't need to flood the market with oil.
Another 0bama drone.

The price being set by the oil speculators, i.e. investors, is for future prospects of oil supplies, not current supplies. 0bama's admin has halted oil drilling in the gulf, off shore, and in Alaska, denied permits, and halted further development of shale oil, and is now trying to remove tax subsidies for oil exploration. Add all that together and the future prospects of US oil production are growing thin.

BTW, if increasing oil production from the US would do nothing to lower prices, then why in the hell was 0bama considering doing exactly that????

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is considering tapping the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/subjects/s/strategic_petroleum_reserve_us/index.html?inline=nyt-classifier - broken link) in response to rapidly rising gasoline prices brought on by turmoil in the Middle East, the White House chief of staff, William M. Daley, said on Sunday.

Bush had his administration cancel permits for drilling oil and mining coal, asked congress to end tax subsides, and instructed his EPA to base approval for oil permits on AGW, greenhouse gases and global warming???

Of course im going to blame him. Why?

He is the one who said he wanted energy prices to sky rocket.

WHERE IS HIS PLAN? He has offered NOTHING to help the current situation, nor the future. NOTHING.

We arent drilling for oil....why?!?!?! Supply and demand. We drill for oil, which we have PLENTY of, and prices will go down. Its not frickin rocket science. We give Brazil $2 billion so they can drill yet we are just going to sit around doing nothing about it?

He and his movement are pushing for this "greener" future. Thats all great and all but Barry, we are still living in the present. We still do not have reliable alternatives to oil. Many still cant afford to shell out the extra money for a hybrid. Ill follow you anti-drilling folks immediately once we have a great, efficient alternative. Until then, we have to drill.

So Obama, where is your plan???? Enough with the Oprah interviews. Enough with the golf. Enough with the stupid race to a billion frickin dollars for your stupid campaign, you arrogant arse.

There is something not right about what is going on in this country and what our government is and isnt doing about it. There are a lot of purposeful things being done. Its time the media did its damn job and started investigating. There are people who are succeeding in the plan to bring this country down.

Because someone working to a complicated ultimate end always does the same 3 or 4 individual things over and over to get them to their goal?

That's a rather simple-minded assumption, don'tchathink?

Now you can interactively feed your delusion that gas prices are up to whoever is President.

It's worse then that, 0bama wants to end the $4 billion or so tax subsides to US oil companies for drilling an exploration, and give that money away for solar and wind energy. But, he just loaned $2 billion to Brazil for oil exploration. As if we can power our automoblies, trains, planes and trucks with wind or solar.

For those who still don't get it, 0bama and his administration have blocked, denied and halted future oil exploration and development in this country, and that is what the oil futures market is speculating on. They see slim prospects for future oil production from the US. All the current oil production, that 0bama takes credit for, is the result of permits approved by Bush, Clinton and Bush. The level of oil production, that is speculated to diminish, 5-10 years from now, is due to 0bama's anti-oil and anti-coal, and anti-shale oil policies.

No one in the 0bama admin is pro energy, how can they be, when oil permits are denied because a company failed to include the carbon footprint of an ice breaker?
