No. I would however support a 50% cut in taxes and regulatory fees.

If you are a governmet worker you should consider that or be fired.
Private sector can do what it wants since it doesn't use taxpayer dollars.

.
Why is that? I am a government employee whose job supports the military. I earn my pay if not more. Why should I be forced to live in poverty?

'Earn' is a relative term.

If we all took a 100 percent pay cut, could we get twice as many jobs back?

Tell the big corporations to stop outsourcing and then you will see jobs return.

And while you are at it, tell them [Corporations] to stop paying politicians to vote on pro-illegal alien measures. Less illegals = higher wages, and more jobs. Take the construction industry for example, in many states that work used to pay ~$20 a hour, which would be good pay even today. But wages in that field are hitting rock bottom due to illegals being paid peanuts to do it.

Default The question is framed wrong:

If each of us were willing to work for the market value of our labor, we would have a lot more jobs. Too many of us expect to be paid more than we are worth, or work under union contracts that mandate above-market wages.

Some of us would get massive reductions if we were paid what we are worth, but not me--my customers already pay me what I am worth. Most of us ought to be figuring out how we could be of more value to the rest of us.
