Escalate what?!
Getting rid of OBL was just symbolic. If the foreign forces wanted to stay in those two countries till terrorism and AQ are exterminated, they would have to stay till the end of time as there are countless active or potential terrorists and AQ supporters whose names and faces nobody knows...
So, I voted for leaving both countries and cutting aid to Pakistan.

I want out troops out of Afghanistan immediately. But I hope we didn't send thousands of troops just to root out and kill OBL

i think the original point was to extract a measure of justice for the massive loss of american lives at 9-11.

i don't really know what it is now. we are scheduled to leave afghanistan, but i don't know if that is going to happen or not, or whether we will start going into pakistan to "root out" the terrorists.

i do think that what is happening now is our badmouthing pakistan for the benefit of strengthening ties with india, which certainly might be in our best interest if china is shifting away from us. i see the "new" report that about pakistan, china, and the helicopter. i suspect that this is to get americans "worked up" about the pakistan government, when we could have just destroyed the helicopter if we wanted to. (just like not taking any of the witnesses and now asking pakistan to give them to us, what's that about?)

Press the fight. Attack, attack, attack. Make sure that Al-Quida feels heat and pressure pushing them. Make them make another mistake, follow the mistake they make and make them feel the sting and heat even more. Show them that like UBL, they have no where to hide. Their extremism will be their end.

That's what we do now.

Leave the middle east altogether, and cut off ALL foreign aid....we can't even take care of our own, our economy is in the toilet, yet we're dumping billions upon billions of dollars in other countries.

We're broke....where are all of the other countries out there sending some foreign aid to us??

Also 100% leave Iraq. We seem to forget we have 50K combat soldiers relabeled as "peace keepers" in Iraq.

That is EXACTLY what we did. Well, that and the oil pipelines.

The shrub didn't have the cojones to do the Special Forces approach by itself back when he had the public support to and then shortly thereafter got distracted with Iraq... just like a kid with attention deficit disorder.

Disable/destroy the Pakistan nukes and napalm the poppy fields on our way out. Take oil in payment for "nation building" in Iraq so that Iran doesn't take it as soon as we leave.
