Only one justice dissented, and both of Obama's appointees were among the 8 of the majority, so it's not a left versus right matter, it's a statist scum versus liberty issue.
The Supreme Court is CONSERVATIVE, and that includes Obama's appointments.
While not ideological warriors like the Bush appointments, they certainly have no problem with invading your privacy and I blame conservatism in general for this attitude.
Liberty may sound great at Tea Party rallies, but it don't fly on the Supreme Court

No, they're big government-loving statist scum who pretend to be conservative. Real conservatives will take the Constitution at face value and not create these "creative" exceptions to it.
What if the police have the wrong house? That happened to us once.Years ago Cops kicked in our door and almost shot our dog. They arrested my brother, wouldn't listen to us, hours later, they let him go, when they finally realized they had not only the wrong guy/house, they had the wrong street. My parents had to replace the door. The neighbors treated us differently. We could have lost our dog, because of a cop's mistake. Would it have killed them to actually check the name and address of the house, on the warrant, before kicking in the door at 4:30am?
Great! How nice to know that for no reason whatsoever and without a warrant, police can break down your door and enter your home. Chalk it up to another of numerous reason to re-elect OBAMA (NOT)!
Supreme Court: No warrant needed if police discern destruction of evidence - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/csm/20110516/ts_csm/384310 - broken link)
I believe this is happening in Indiana right now yet there is nothing about it on the Indiana threads. You'd think it would be the utmost critical issue on everyone's mind!
What are you thinking?
The CONSERVATIVE members of Court ALL voted for this fiasco ...at least a Liberal voted against it.
Here is what the LIBERAL said about the ruling.
the court today arms the police with a way routinely to dishonor the Fourth Amendment’s warrant requirement in drug cases. In lieu of presenting their evidence to a neutral magistrate, police officers may now knock, listen, then break the door down, never mind that they had ample time to obtain a warrant.
How ‘secure’ do our homes remain if police, armed with no warrant, can pound on doors at will and …forcibly enter?”
Excuse me? Who wrote the majority opinion and wrote the dissenting opinion and what sides of the political spectrum are they on? And, there is little debate that the Supreme Court leans conservative right now.
Sorry. You are out of gas on this one.
The mentality of a right wing voter....It's just too complex a task to look at the ruling and tell who voted for it and who didn't...
They don't think for themselves or research things...they just let these right wing talking heads to tell them what to believe.
