I know you're feeling smug right now, but please don't pretend that GOP members always resign immediately when they get caught in a sex scandal. Craig did not immediately resign, nor did Sanford or Gingrich. Vitter actually ran for (and won) reelection.
Weiner lied. I'm extremely disappointed in him for doing so. I wouldn't blame his constituents if they don't vote for him again. I wouldn't.

Be realistic - if John Edwards had succeeded in becoming VP, or God forbid POTUS, they would be defending him just as passionately...

He should resign. His conduct was unethical and they need to be held to higher standards. Any politician that engages inthis type of behavior should be forced to resign. There needs to be standards. I'm sick of hearing about this type of behavior, especially by elected officials who act like they are high and mighty, make important decisions that affect our lives, and are hypocrites. He sat there a year ago and went after Beck on ethics......all the while he's being a weirdo creep. Seriously, what kind if person takes pics of your privates and sends them to people? I wouldn't want him representing me.
