TV Executives Admit in Taped Interviews That Hollywood Pushes a Liberal Agenda - Yahoo! TV Blog (http://tv.yahoo.com/blog/tv-executives-admit-in-taped-interviews-that-hollywood-pushes-a-liberal-agenda--3086 - broken link)
Its not a very big well kept secret...to most of us anyways. Much like the news media, Hollywood has held a liberal biased for years and have used their platforms to make Conservatives look bad and prop up and push liberalism. Heck, even Sesame Street people have admitted to pushing their Lefty ideas on to vulnerable kids.
Even if you are a liberal, are you really okay with all this? Sure maybe you hard core libs, but the average Democrat, how about you? You want every medium out there being predominately Liberal and pushing their ideas, sometimes sneakily, in to their shows/movies?
Its amazing that Conservatism is doing as well as it is right now. Given how much of our society pushes liberalism and has an extreme bias, its simply amazing we Conservatives exist. However, I think the fact of this large bias that has been going on for a long time, has played a big role into the downward spiral our society has been in for a long time.
Liberals push an agenda via mainstream television and movies. Conservatives push an agenda through mainstream religion. If you lap either one up, you're a tool, regardless of how you choose to label yourself.
Hollywood brown-noses the typical American idiot. That's why movies have guns, car chases, explosions, fist fights, and loads of superficial characters in simplistic plots.
For anyone afraid of the liberal agenda creeping into their heads from a Hollywood movie, the solution is simple; leave your brain at home, for Hollywood movies you won't need one anyway.
I love how this guy got the left to admit their agendas. Some of these quotes are priceless:
"...president of MTV Networks Entertainment Group Doug Herzog talking about his network having “superpowers” when it comes to its influence over young people."
"The advancement of a gay and lesbian political agenda is mentioned by multiple executives, including Marcy Carsey, a producer of Soap and Roseanne, and Desperate Housewives..."
"Fred Silverman, the former head of ABC and later NBC, saying “there’s only one perspective, and it’s a very progressive perspective” in TV comedy today."
Haven't had a chance to watch the video clips yet, but the article is great. Not surprising in the least; but again so nice to see it admitted.
I wish I could say that I was shocked by this, but I'd be lying.
