Which is why I will vote for Obama if Romney wins the election.

There is precious little difference between them and at least with Obama I know the pimp I am getting.

He may be right.

I want Obama to win in 2012, but if he loses I wouldn't mind Romney being president.
Romney has to SURVIVE THE SOUTH if he's going to get the nomination. I don't see a lot of Southern Baptist and Evangelicals getting fired up over the possibility of him being President. Whoever the Republican nominee for President is they have to be able to fire up Southern Conservative voters. No Republican President in the last 45 years has been elected without a strong showing in the South. The problem is the more you fire up Southern Conservative voters the more you tend to turn off moderates and independents.

He's just like his father!

George W. Romney - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Romney was a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in 1968. While initially a front-runner, he proved an ineffective campaigner, and fell behind Richard Nixon in polls. Following a mid-1967 remark that his earlier support for the Vietnam War had been due to a "brainwashing" by U.S. military and diplomatic officials in Vietnam, his campaign faltered even more, and he withdrew from the contest in early 1968.

The South would be a challenge. If Romney won the nomination, Obama would easily win Virginia, NC, and Florida.

Romney is playing the long game on the nomination. He's going to stay in until the convention and hope he has the most delegates. He's not going to do the old GOP way of just cleaning up quickly, frankly because he can't. He's planning on using his money and organization to grind down everyone else.
