McDonald's Hired More than All of the Rest of the Economy Combined - Business
The only thing keeping America from nationwide job losses last month were the Golden Arches. Contrary to popular belief, McDonald's April hiring binge wasn't counted in the government;s April employment report. Those 62,000 McJobs "created" in the one day HR/publicity stunt are the only reason that America didn't flat out lose jobs according to May's report.

Probably need more help because their dollar menu is cheaper than cooking
so people without a job are lining up for the cheeseburger and fries for two bucks.
A person i know of who recently lost a Government job, won't be joining the GOLDEN ARCHES, he worked for this company for over 30 years, is middleaged, a great strong leadership worker, and fired. Guess what they did, they put someone younger and less experienced in his position.
Nice ha, how would you feel being a middleaged man, ousted after being so loyal to a company for that long of a time. They pay you back, by firing you, and someone younger in your position.

That makes no sense, if he was in government and had 30 years in he would be qualified for a nice retirement. Even if in his 50s he could get a good percentage of the maximum with that many years in.

They hire every spring. Kids are off of school, and yes, parents spend the days taking kids to McDonalds, rather than making food, so the demand for more employees jumps over the summer.
I put in an application at McDonalds months before the national hiring day. I applied again, got interviewed, and still didn't get the job. Apparently, if you don't have experience working, you can't get a job in this damn economy. Not even at McDonald's. Makes no sense, but America doesn't make sense to me anymore.
The fact is that our net jobs number IS probably in the negative. The numbers reported by the media have only reflected the private sector gaining jobs. The public sector is declining at a rapid rate. So overall we are in the negative still.
We need another stimulus so our state governments do not have to shed jobs at this alarming rate.

That unfortunately is the NEW AMERICAN WAY!
Hire people as cheaply as possible and dump them when they cost too much!
