The German autobahns are famous for being some of the few public roads in the world without blanket speed limits for cars and motorcycles. Lack of blanket speed limits does not appear to negatively impact the road traffic safety compared with motorways in other countries; motorways are safer than other road types.

The dems have started more posts than any repub.....there were 10 Sarah threads on page 1....(not today) and 2 were started by repubs....the rest were dems.....

One other thing - the 55 mph national speed limit was not enacted for reasons of public safety, but for fuel economy because of the 1970's oil supply and price crises.

Rick Santorum would be a great president. He is the only one of all the Republican candidates that I am 100% sure would appoint conservative judges that won't 'discover' rights and legislate from the bench. As long as we are stuck with this judicial tyranny that we have we should exercise extreme caution about which tyrants we appoint.
