During a recent interview with Glenn Beck, Rick and Karen Santorum suggested that the Obama administration's health care reform law would harm people with disabilities, like their three-year-old daughter, Bella, who suffers from a rare and usually fatal genetic disorder. ..Yet, even as the Santorums bash Obamacare, their own family story—which includes staggering medical bills that would bankrupt many American families—makes the case for the health care policies that they vigorously oppose.
Funny this guy goes around saying how much values life, but seem he doesn't see to value the Bella's whose parents can't afford 100,000/yr in medical bills. Half of bankruptcies are related to medical bills and 75% of those people started off with has insurance before benefits ran out, etc. The Gourly's are not exception to the rule, the vast majority whose face these problems are working people not "leeching" off the system. Why? So an insurance industry, that doesn't even innovate, doesn't cure anything, that is merely the middle man, can make billions in profit.

For some Catholics, being held hostage by torment is a religious experience. I don't happen to agree with that view. I happen to believe self defense is a right.

"Either you support Obamacare or you leave people to die in the streets" is a false dichotomy liberals have been using for years now. You ignore even the possibility of reforms other than your chosen reform so you make the choice either Obamacare or nothing. That's not reality.
Republicans want to repeal and replace. But you all dishonestly ignore the "and replace" part and use appeals to fear to claim that Republicans just want only rich people to have healthcare and nothing for everyone else.
If your Obamacare actually was worth a hill of beans you wouldn't need to use scare tactics and Hobbesian choices to defend it. You don't need to scare people into supporting a good plan. So why don't you try arguing it on its merits for once?
