The Left should be more concerned with their party being influenced by Saul Alinsky and Karl Marx.

You're mixing National Socialism with Socialism (latter supported by, communists and to a lesser extent, social democrats). But, that is a commonly made argument: One race, one church, one religion, one language, anti-liberalism, anti-gay, anti-immigrants, anti-trade union, pro-corporation, pro-military are not the ideals in the typical socialism. National socialism was about totalitarianism while opposing virtually every aspect of liberalism and left wing ideologies.

I agree that the Nazis had something in common with the "moralist" conservative right regarding social issues, but I also think that they have something in common with the "socialist" left regarding personal property rights. Personally, I think that both of those ideologies are at odds with the idea of individual liberty.

on the contrary, its you who have dismissed all the points and facts by simply saying it ain't so. You do not argue one point and only say oh ya, is not, and expect us to act like you gave some great rhetorical argument for your point. The fact is that Rand was and is an influence on many right wing nuts like Ryan. He admits it outright. Second Rand was one who said most people in the world are not worthy of love or rights. She called mentally ill people of little use and retards that do not deserve love. This fits in exactly with the Nazi view which went to the next logical step in the randian thinking of euthanasia. The Republican ideology is very thin veiled as to this very same thinking. The only difference is they just want to ignore people who are not in the GOP club. Let them eat cake thinking. Well its been 5 months and the tide is already turning against the GOP. As they see people upraise against the Ryan Kill Medicare throw Grandma over the cliff, they are doubling down. Great. Stupid is as GOP does.

And North Korea is called the "Democratic People's Republic of Korea" - it's almost as if one can't trust people with dictatorial ambitions to be truthful and forthcoming, isn't it?

Democratic is the right word. It means Communist.

The Nazis were far from respecting the Thomas Paine view of property. They were for private property as long as the owner did not get in the way and accepted the mastery.

Once again: The German industrialists eagerly cooperated in the Nazi effort. Was the head of Krupp socialist? (Added difficulty - he was a nobleman.) The head of IG Farben? The head of United Steel's German division? The head of Bosch?

Here's a useful link about the major players in German industry meeting with Goering and eagerly agreeing to support the Nazi effort - this was in 1933:

The Economic Aspects of the Nazi Conspiracy

Once the Nazis abandoned their initial idea of nationalizing businesses, the heavy hitters of German industry immediately threw their lot in with them, because rearmament was good for business, their fortunes swelled, and there was plunder and cheap labor to be gotten from neighboring nations.

Now, are you going to claim with a straight face that Gustav Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach, nobleman who married into ownership of Germany's biggest steel and armaments empire, was a left-winger? Or, for that mtter, his a-hole son, Alfried?
