"The Los Angeles Dodgers filed for protection under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in order to protect the franchise financially and provide a path that will enable the Club to consummate a media transaction and capitalize the team. Dodger owner Frank McCourt cited Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig's refusal to approve the Fox transaction as the cause for the Chapter 11 filing."
"The bare bones document — we should have more in the next day or so — estimates the Dodgers assets at $500 million to $1 billion, and lists its estimated liabilities at $0 to $50,000. As Futterman is reporting, the Dodgers are filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection to keep the team out of the hands of Major League Baseball."
Gee..who can even afford to go to a baseball game these days ?
They priced themselves out of affordability.
It's been years since I've been to a major league game..just can't afford it.
So I content myself with the minor league games.
I say sell the Dodgers and move them back to Brooklyn. The Mets( whose owners might go to prison for being involved with Madoff) can sell the team and move it to LA. Everybody wins. NYC deserves to have two baseball teams. They may even get a football team someday if New Jersey can spare one of theirs.

I'd bet you have just as good if not better time at the minor league games.
