Nice thread hijack attempt
that was taken from a chinese newspaper and it was the chinese reaction to "our exercises"-which they objected to. it is a territorial dispute as pointed out by yahoo news:
Vietnam as well as the Philippines have in recent months accused China of taking increasingly aggressive actions in staking its claim to the disputed waters and its archipelagos.

In response, China has insisted it wants to resolve the territorial dispute peacefully but remained firm in its claims to most of the South China Sea, even waters within the Philippines' 200-nautical-mile economic exclusion zone.

Philippine President Benigno Aquino this month called for US help in containing China's South China Sea ambitions, saying his country was too weak to stand up to the Chinese alone.

and there we are....

regarding the other issue, don't tell me that americans are being protected when you leave the freaking borders open, while our soldiers are still DYING in other countries:

how about these headlines then:

US Expands Its Drone War Into Somalia
CIA Exhales: 99 Out of 101 Torture Cases Dropped
US Rejects Pakistani Demand to Leave Air Base

US Still Flying Strike Missions Against Libya

World Slams Armament, Libya Rebels Demand More Weapons

New Doubts Raised on Saleh's Return, Fighting in South
Yemeni VP Admits Security Situation Is Deteriorating
35 Yemeni Soldiers Killed in Clashes With Militants, Officials Say

Worst US Death Toll in Iraq in Two Years

Sadrists Campaign to Bar US Troops From Civilian Buildings in Iraq
Shi'ite Militias Step Up Iraq Attacks on US Troops
24 Killed as Huge Protests Grip Syria
US Recognizes Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood

Greek Troops Capture US Aid Ship Bound for Gaza
4 Hezbollah Indicted in Killing of Hariri, Ex-PM of Lebanon

those are TODAY'S headlines. would you call that safer for us now? that was my point.

this president isn't protecting OUR citizens, yet he goes out on a limb to make sure that some dirtbag murderer's rights are protected because mexico asked him to intervene.

and for the poster who said 6 more months doesn't matter-ask the dead girl's family about that.

Draw and quarter him like the British used to do.

The grisly punishment included the drawing of the convicted to the gallows, often by horse, the hanging of the body until near death, disembowelment and castration, followed by the beheading of the body, and finally the quartering of the corpse, or the division of the bodily remnants into four pieces. The punishment was carried out in public.

I know you would like people to believe the Tea Baggers are just fiscal conservatives but as anybody that follows them knows.

The are also social conservatives and bigots. They are right wing "Christians" and pro death penalty.

Any atheist or strict libertarian among them is a small fraction of who they are.

Your the FUNNY ONE.............so it's each states law if they carry the death penalty and you blame Christians...........you do know not ONLY Christians and not even all Christians support the death penalty.

Get over your obsession with Christian hate!!

You do know, when you call someone names, it's usually indicates you have low self esteem and need others to feel the HATE also!!

A six month hold to give him time to change the law and stop the execution, that is a very big deal. It sounds like the law WAS NOT broken as it is currently written, Obama is trying to delay the execution long enough for new laws to be put in place so he can stop it.

Obama sure has a knack for putting his foot in his mouth. He couldn't maybe pick someone who might actually be innocent to do this for, no he has to pick someone guilty beyond a doubt of a heinous and brutal crime and try to save him. I bet he wouldn't be doing it if it had been HIS daughter.

In fact the most secular States in the union have the least executions.

So you can see it on a National scale.

The more "Christian" a State is the higher it's chances of killing people for crimes.

Religiosity is a excellent indicator of how backward a society is.

It's just as valid as the shot the title made at Obama. Do you expect anything above a 1st grade pissing contest?
