Not since before the great depression have we had such inequality in wealth distribution. There is a correlation between the disparity and taxes. The lower the taxes the higher the disparity. The greater the taxes the less the disparity and the larger the middle class. Anyone who tells you that taxes on the rich kills the middle class just needs to look at the charts.

Inflation is the elite's preferred tax for us. The wealth gap is widening thanks to inflation of a fiat currency, the insane money printing that the Fed is involved in, and the bipartisan offshoring of our jobs. That's right. BIPARTISAN

So when are we going to get the celebrities to accept less in pay? When are we going to get athletes to accept lower pay? If you haven't notice, the union labor for them have been asking for MORE money... let me know when the Democrats will turn on the entertainment industry and labor unions... fat chance...

Of course this is pure, unadulterated silliness. Taxing the wealthy more doesn't increase your wealth, it increases government spending and it's power. Neither is desirable.

They will never touch the wealth of the entertainment industry. The entertainment industry is the public relations arm of the Democratic Party and mostly the reason why Democrats get elected in the first place. ALL of current Democrat liberal policy is constantly shoved down our throats thanks to Hollywood and the liberal entertainment industry which controls almost all of what's on TV and the movie screen

Exactly..... so why do the liberals constantly whine and seek to punish anyone but the TRULY wealthy... why? I hate rhetoric and I hate people that talk about something they don't really know anything about.. all I hear is "raise taxes"... the rich don't really pay taxes to being with, they have the politicians insert the loopholes to get out it... so "raising taxes" hurts everyone but the TRULY rich... so lets all be honest, the liberals wants taxes raised on anyone but the rich... even though they label them as "rich"...

Did you bother to read the cite. Somehow I doubt it. This thread is about taxes on the very wealthy and the correlation to the disparity in wealth. I don't believe I have ever seen a tax bill that would exclude "Hollywood" or sports figures. This is absurd and an attempted thread hijack.

You think those folks are the rich the Op is referring to? They're pikers compared to the very wealthy, old money folks from all around the world. You and I would never breath the same air or space with this kind of person ever.
