Sorry, I didn't include a lead in previously. Was about to edit the content but thread was deleted as per rules.

Dr. Munger includes some commentary on why liberalism is a mental disorder. Suddenly the requirement of 5% down is racist.

b-b-b-b-b-b-b-ut I thought liberals liked regulation?

And lack of income is discriminatory to minorities when banks are considering a mortgage application.
Only in America.....

Kind of a major insult to minorities, especially ones who save. "If you're a minority, you have bad fiscal discipline." But then again nothing surprises me from racist stereotyping libs.

It just wasn't the "right kind" of regulation. Not enough social justice in it.

Considering that Obama and Holder are pushing subprime loans even more aggressively than Barney Frank did in 2003, as an absolutely astonishing story in IBD pointed out last week, and that being on public assistance is NOT grounds for being denied a home loan, racism has nothing to do with it.

On top of that, how can the lefties whine about 'predatory lending' when their policies make it mandatory??????

Erik Holder's (In)Justice Department is a train wreck in slow motion. The man should be thrown out on his racist ass. His refusal to pursue charges against the Bew Black Panthers for their role in the voter intimidation in 2008 was bad enough but now he is trying to force banks to repeat the same bad policies that Barny Frank forced on them before. As the article says, burdening poor people with home loans they can't pay off is not doing them a favor.

Those who never learn history are doomed to repeat it.

The bankers must be desperatly trying to loan money to somebody. Looks like the poor are the only ones left.

Actually the banks loan the money and then the gov't buys that mortgage off them.

The only losers here are taxpayers who are on the hook for that money.
