I was going to say. The President and the Democrats have gone out of their way to prove that white Christian males are unneeded and unwanted both in their "progressive" party and in this country. They actually refer to the Tea Party as "terrorists" for crying out loud. That's what passes as leadership for them nowadays.

This reads as an assertion that the Tea Party is made up of white Christian males. You surely don't mean to assert that, do you?
I don't support Michelle Bachmann's presidential bid but if you listen to what she really said in that tape, she said, "It is a part of Satan, to say this is "gay. It is anything but "gay". I did not hear her condemn anyone, nor did she say that gay people are a part of Satan. In fact, she went on to say, "We need to have profound compassion for anyone who is dealing with the very real issue of sexual dysfunction in their life and sexual identity disorders."
Most of the admitted gays here on CD seem to have fully accepted themselves as gays but I would find it hard to believe that every single one of them reached that point without some struggle within themselves. Furthermore, probably the only gay people she has had any real contact with are those very ones who are still struggling, who are going through their own personal hells trying to be something they are not and have come to the Bachmann clinic seeking help. She does have, what I consider to be, an unrealistic view of homosexuality but lots of people share that view.
Michelle Bachmann has made comments about Gay people being a part of Satan. Is this the mentality we would want for President of the US; a theocracy taking us back to the Dark Ages?
A better question might be.
