There's no obligation to our nation to "close the wealth gaps" ... if people want to make more money they need to go to school and look for a job. End of story.
I have a master's degree and no prison record nor do I have a drug record. Why is my job barely paying me anything?
Aww, another "poor me, I suck so it must be someone else's fault" post. Maybe it's your career choice. What's your degree in? A field that traditionally pays very little? Maybe it's your communication style or attention to detail. Here's an idea, go to http://www.salary.com and enter in your job title and see what salary data comes up and where you fall on the bell curve for your field. If you're more than one standard deviation below the median, perhaps something IS wrong with either you or your employer. If not, it's just the field you chose.

Spreading hate? Astroturf? What do corporation have to do with anything I've stated? Start your own thread about corporate greed if you want, nobody's stopping you.
What are the opportunities for education in their neighborhoods?
How do their schools rank in the city?
Where are the best teachers?
What is the unemployment rate?
What is the incidence of single parent homes?
How pervasive is drug culture in those neighborhoods?
If anyone can answer these questions they'll know why there is a wealth gap between minorities, and non-minorities.
