63% Oppose Giving Women, Minorities Special Treatment When It Comes to Hiring - Rasmussen Reportsâ„¢

I agree. We should move towards a meritocracy where hiring, promotions and college acceptance are based on aptitude and qualifications. Race or gender shouldn't be a consideration at all.

if you can remove bias from the white hiring manager im all for it.

looking at the employment numbers though that isnt the case.

i cant trust a white male hiring manager to give me an equal shot without holding me back for not being white(i myself am mixed half white/half black).

How can you hire the best person for the job without exercising prejudice?

and i dont have problems with white people. i have problems with white people who would deny me a job based on there own racial bias.

since i cant peak into the mind of the hiring manager and know what he's thinking, that's something that always lingers in the back of my head.

and based on the employment numbers, something i believe that is happening.

i myself havent been a victim of it, doesn't mean it doesnt happen though.
