for your information tea partyers are anything but the common folk they would like to have others believe they are. according to several polls taken by cbs and ny times ( no, they're not fox, so i'm certain you'll dismiss them ) in 2010, tea party members are disproportionately composed of older white men ( over 45 ) with higher than average incomes who are more likely than the general public to catergorize their financial situation as good or very good. a large number - 44%- are christian fundamendalist. rather than being a a gathering of the common folk riding in on their white horses to save america, it sounds more likely that they are doing o.k. and want very much to keep it that way. they are not an inclusive group; in other words, gays are not welcome unless they subscibe to the theory that they are mentally ill and need to be cured, and my guess is few believers in pro-choice would feel very welcome in their midst. overall, a self righteous, pious group whose small mindedness and insular thinking is dangerous and destructive.

I never said 100% of tea party was white, but that the majority was. Statistics i have read, based on 2010 ny times.cbs telephone polls of 1500+ adults over age 18 reported that 79% of tea party were white. Just because you're not part of the 79% doesn't mean you can't be a tea party follower or advocate.
Also, it would be helpful if you are asking a question such as "am i small minded", which i assume is a question, to use a question mark at the end of the sentence.
And I'm curious as to who you think "someone with authority on small minded people " might be.
